Exporting a brief as PDF

Every brief has a PDF export. Free tools too. Here's how to use both.

Web appUpdated

There are two PDF exports in FrameworkList. Both produce a clean A4 layout suitable for sharing.

Exporting a strategy brief

Briefs are a Premium feature. If you have one generated:

  1. Open the brief from the Briefs sidebar tab.
  2. Click Download PDF in the header.
  3. The file downloads with the brief headline as the filename.

The PDF includes every section that was generated for the brief (refined thought, options, recommendation, risks, 30/60/90 plan).

Exporting a free tool worksheet

Each free worksheet on /tools/[slug] has its own Export PDF button. No sign-in or subscription needed.

  1. Fill in the scenario field and one or more block textareas.
  2. Click Export PDF in the bottom-right of the worksheet.
  3. The PDF downloads with the scenario as the filename.

The PDF is laid out as a one-page A4 with the framework name, your scenario, and each block as a labeled card.

Troubleshooting

  • The button is disabled. You haven't filled in any content yet (or only have empty bullets). Type something and the button enables.
  • The download fails or hangs. Usually a browser blocking issue. Allow downloads from the site and try again.
  • Chinese / CJK characters render as boxes. Should be fixed — we bundle Noto Sans SC. If you still see boxes, email [email protected] with the brief or worksheet so we can reproduce.

Sharing the link instead

For canvases and briefs, there's also a Copy link option in the article header (web only). The link works for anyone signed into the same account. Briefs are private by default; we don't support public sharing yet.
