Updating your profile and avatar

Display name and avatar

Both editable from Settings → Profile (sidebar → Settings).

• Display name — what shows up next to your work and in the sidebar. Initially seeded from your Google / Apple profile; change anytime.
• Avatar — upload a square image (JPG / PNG). It's compressed automatically and stored in a public Supabase bucket. The link is stable; you can replace the image later, the link stays.

Changes save when you click Save changes. They propagate to iOS within a few seconds via the same Supabase backend.

Email address

Your email is tied to your sign-in provider (Google, Apple, or the email you used for magic-link sign-in). To change your email:

• If you signed in with Google: change the email on your Google account, then sign back in.
• If you signed in with Apple: managed via Apple ID settings.
• If you signed in with email magic link: email [email protected] with both your old and new email — we'll merge the accounts manually.

We don't currently support changing email in-app for magic-link accounts. That's on the roadmap.

Sign-in method

You can use multiple sign-in methods on the same email — they all land in the same account. To stop using a particular method, simply stop using it. There's no separate "remove provider" step.

Sign out

A Sign out button is at the top of Settings. Signing out clears your session locally; your data stays on the server and reappears when you sign in again.
